Yandy Díaz is not in the Rays' starting lineup on Thursday afternoon against the Orioles.

This looks to be a routine day of rest for Díaz, who went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Wednesday and is batting .375/.465/.552 over his last 114 plate appearances going back to June 26. Isaac Paredes is playing third base and hitting third in Thursday's matinee. Brandon Lowe is in the leadoff spot.

Rays' Randy Arozarena: Resting Thursday. Arozarena is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports. Arozarena will take a seat for the day game after he started in each of the Rays' last four contests while going 7-for-18 with two doubles, a stolen base, three RBI and a run. Roman Quinn will step into left field in Arozarena's stead.

Randy Arozarena went 2-for-5 with a two-run double in Wednesday's 10-inning win over the Orioles.

Arozarena saved his best for last on Wednesday, flexing with a clutch go-ahead two-run double in the top of the 10th inning. That big two-bagger came after the Rays had squandered a 4-3 advantage in the ninth inning. On the whole this season, Arozarena is slashing a modest .259/.316/.430 with 12 homers, 45 RBI and 20 steals across 363 at-bats. Those 20 steals are tied with the career-best mark he posted during the 2021 campaign.

Adolis García reached base twice and stole a base Wednesday in Seattle.

The Rangers couldn't get much going offensively in this one, with García being their only player to reach base twice on a single and a walk. He singled, stole second base and scored a run in the fifth inning. It was the outfielder's 15th pilfer of the year.

Yordan Álvarez a solo homer and drew a couple walks Wednesday in Oakland.

Álvarez went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in a 4-2 loss to the Athletics on Wednesday. Álvarez turned on a 90 mph fastball that Cole Irvin left on the inner half of the plate for his 29th home run and 67th RBI of the season. The line drive blast was complimented by two walks and Ávarez now has a .413 OBP to go along with a .674 SLG. The elite 25-year-old slugger has reached base in seven straight games.

Rockies' Jose Iglesias: Back in the lineup. Iglesias (foot) started Wednesday against the White Sox. Iglesias missed Tuesday's matchup due to a foot injury, but he started at shortstop and batted sixth yesterday. Iglesias went 2-for-4 in the game adding his double #21 of the year and his RBI #35 and 36, he also walked. The 32-year-old has hit .333 with a homer, four doubles, 13 RBI and seven runs over his last 12 games.

Blue Jays' Lourdes Gurriel: Day off Wednesday. Gurriel wasn't in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Cardinals. Gurriel got a rare day off after going 8-for-19 with a double, five RBI, three runs, a walk and a strikeout over four games since the All-Star break. Raimel Tapia took over in left field and batted ninth.

Nationals' Yadiel Hernández: On bench Wednesday. Hernández wasn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Dodgers. Hernández started the last three games and went 5-for-10 with a homer, a double, two runs, two RBI and two strikeouts. Lane Thomas started in left field and batted sixth Wednesday.
